Mr. Shiv Kumar Agarwal, the Founder and Chairman of the Kumar Group of Industries, is widely recognized as a visionary entrepreneur in the state of Uttarakhand. He is best characterized as a kind-hearted humanitarian who has committed his life to improve the lives of thousands of individuals in the state. In addition to establishing a significant and diverse organization, he has genuinely contributed to the transformationthe region from underdevelopment to progress, guided by the principles and vision he has instilled.Mr. Shiv Kumar Agarwal’ s goal has always been to create a company model with an ingrained “social conscience.”

Mr. Shiv Kumar Agarwal belongs to a prominent family of freedom fighters from Hapur, Distt. Ghaziabad. He is the founder member of the Kumaon Garhwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) and also served as the former Chairman of the Kumaon Division of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

In 1983, he received the “Young Entrepreneur Award” from the Jaycees Club, Rudrapur. He was also honored with the prestigious “Exporter Award” by the Uttar Pradesh government in both 1982 and 1983.In 2005, He was bestowed with the “Udyog Ratna” by the former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri N.D. Tiwari.

In 2007, he was honored with the title “Kumaon Gaurav—The Pride of Kumaon” by the prominent newspaper, Dainik Jagran for his outstanding contributionto the economic development of Kumaon and his significant role in providing employment opportunities to thousands of individuals.
